The Pitch
Length 105m (115 yards) / Width 68m (75 yards).
Dimensions fall between maximum and minimum dimensions stipulated by Football League Regulation 33.
The minimum distance between the touchlines and pitch perimeter should be 3m with a 4.5m minimum border to the pitch boundary. Synthetic track to be capable of sustaining the load of fire appliances should be used.
Surface must be absolutely smooth and of natural grass. The pitch is to have an efficient drainage system.
The Stands
Stands to be designed to accommodate 48,500 spectators from August 2000.
Stands to form a continuous bowl.
Each terrace to be designed to achieve minimum 'C' values of 90mm at all seating positions. A 'C' value of 12Omm is to be achieved to 70% minimum of seating. All stands to have roofs to provide reasonable protection from the elements.
Roofs should extend in line with pitch barrier. Translucent sheeting to west and south stands to ensure entire pitch receives sunlight (to be Lexar polycarbonate sheeting 1.5mm thick or similar approved).
All spectators to have a clear unobstructed view of the whole of the playing area.
Roof lines to allow viewing to 18m above the centre line.
