There are a wide variety of ways in which companies can help support SAFC Foundation, allowing you to show that you care for the local community whilst enjoying some unique benefits in the process.

For just £250 (+VAT) per season you can demonstrate your commitment to the local community by signing your company up to Corporate Membership. Members automatically get invites to Manager's Team Talk, where they can meet and take part in a Q&A with the SAFC Manager, and Top Scorer, SAFC Foundation's annual celebration event where they can meet some of the people who have benefited from their support.
All members also receive a Certificate of Thanks signed by SAFC Chairman Niall Quinn himself and join our Corporate Members Roll of Honour To join now contact Lynsey Thompson on 0191 551 5311.
Make a Donation or Sponsor a Project
Making a donation to SAFC Foundation has never been easier or more fulfilling. You can make a one-off payment to us, a regular gift, or sponsor one of our projects - with an annual audience of more than 40,000 children and adults we offer great returns for our partners.
We run regular holiday sports coaching courses for those wishing to make a quick impression or more long term programmes which run for 6 weeks and more.
You can also benefit through tax relief of 19% or 30% depending on the size of your company. Contact Lynsey Thompson to find out more on 0191 551 5311.
Attend an Event
SAFC Foundation hold a broad selection of events throughout the year that are great for rewarding staff and entertaining clients. Buy a table at our Fashion Show, come along to our Race day, or buy tickets to any of our events and the money raised will go towards supporting projects in the north east.
Foundation Challenge
SAFC Foundation's 'Foundation Challenge' is a great way for companies to get their staff involved in fun, morale building fundraising activities whilst gaining local press exposure. Running in tandem with the football season participating companies and groups are each encouraged to raise a target of £2,000 with support from SAFC Foundation including access to some special Sunderland AFC themed prizes.
There is also an element of light hearted competition with other companies taking part as each organisation strives to raise the most.

Tax Tips
When a company makes a donation it can get tax relief from profits and pays less corporation tax. In 2011 the main rate of corporation tax is 26%. Companies can get tax relief if giving goods that is made or sold. If the items are given away, this is calculated on the market value. If given at cost, it is this cost on which the company gets tax relief.
This also applies for staff salaries if seconded, on loan or volunteers costs when absent from the workplace.
Give As You Earn (GAYE)
GAYE is an easy tax-free way for UK-taxpayers to regularly support SAFC Foundation which saves donors time and helps their donation go further. Each time your staff are paid, your payroll department will deduct your donation before tax. Our team can help your payroll department set up GAYE and once in place, it's easy to administer.
