Martin O'Neill will wait for further news on captain Lee Cattermole after the midfielder missed the defeat to Everton.
Cattermole picked up a knee problem in the build-up to the game and couldn't take his place in the side at Goodison Park.
Speaking after the game, O'Neill explained: "Lee hurt himself [on Friday].
"He hurt his knee in a training session and will have a scan at the beginning of the week."
Phil Bardsley also missed the game, with O'Neill revealing that he had "been struggling all week" with a knock.
