Loan Watch: Lynch makes bow

Youngster handed Pools start.

Sunderland front man Craig Lynch was in the starting line-up for Hartlepool United's draw with Shrewsbury Town.

The 20 year-old was named in Neale Cooper's side after previously making three substitute appearances since sealing his loan move to Victoria Park earlier this month.

Pools bounced back from their 5-0 defeat at Preston North End last week with a home draw, after substitute Andy Monkhouse scored a last-minute equaliser to deny Shrewsbury Town all three points.

In the Championship, Ahmed Elmohamady played the full 90 minutes for Hull City as Steve Bruce`s side slipped to a 3-1 defeat at Leicester City, courtesy of a David Nugent hat-trick.

Elsewhere, young goalkeeper Ben Wilson is still waiting to make an appearance for Chesterfield.

However, the Spireites extended their unbeaten league run to seven games following a goalless draw at Northampton.
