Craig Lynch has joined near neighbours Hartlepool United on a month's loan.

The forward, who featured for Sunderland's first team during pre-season, will be hoping to gain valuable experience during his time at Victoria Park.

Lynch is eligible for Pools' clash with Carlisle United today and could make his debut against the Cumbrians.
