Rose played the full 90 minutes while Wickham appeared as a 69th-minute substitute in Baku.
Goals in either half from Steven Caulker and Jonjo Shelvey kept the Three Lions two points clear of their Euro 2013 qualifying group.
Stuart Pearce's side take on second-placed Norway in Chesterfield on Monday night in a crunch clash which will decide the group winners.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Jordan Pickford played 75 minutes of the under-19s' 3-1 defeat to Germany in Hamburg.
